Our Handmade Holiday Festival Returns With 30 Contemporary Makers

PITTSFIELD, MA – Alchemy Initiative returns to Pittsfield’s Masonic Lodge (116 South St.) December 7 and 8, 2013 from 10am to 5pm with it’s 5th annual Handmade Holiday Festival. The Handmade Holiday Festival is a curated, modern craft fair that appeals to all ages and features thirty contemporary makers, artisans, designers, and food producers.

Shoppers will find a wide variety of handmade goods including jewelry, ceramics, and soaps, to silk-screened apparel, wooden cutting boards, glass ornaments, and more. All weekend long local musicians Ben Kohn, Andy Kelly, Tony Pisano and Aldo Lavaggi will keep the festive spirit high and Dottie’s Coffee Lounge will be on-site to keep up the shoppers’ stamina.

Vendors include: Ben C. Evans Ceramics, c.e. golden, Climbing Tree Farm, Dancing Bare Soap, Diane Firtell Designs, Dottie’s Coffee Lounge, Elena Mansour, Erin Kaukas Designs, HA Designs, Hawk Dance Farm, Hosta Hill, HR Zeppelin Chocolates, Jess Fitzgerald Studio, JK Custom Furniture & Design, KnitSquid Fiber Arts, Liz Daly Fougere Ceramics, Maplewood Fiberarts, Marguerite Bride Fine Arts, Michael Boroniec, Miss Hall’s School Arty Party, Moho Designs, Mountain Ash Design, The Petal Collection, Popko Shop, Shima, Stacie Mincher Designs, Summer Mondays, Toil and Trouble, Toomey Glass and Wake Robin Botanicals.

Alchemy Initiative will once again have their ART BAG raffle to give all shoppers the opportunity to score artist-made gifts. Just $10 per ticket or 3 for $25, the ART BAGS are loaded with handmade and local gift items, valued in the hundreds of dollars. Shoppers can purchase tickets ahead of time at ‘alchemy handmade,’ the pop-up gallery at 305 North St, Pittsfield or at the event.

Alchemy Initiative has opened a pop-up gallery, ‘alchemy handmade,’ for the month of November at an empty storefront at 305 North St, Pittsfield. The exhibit showcases a sampling of the work of this year’s vendors- all work is for sale. Shoppers looking to get a preview of this year’s sale, and make some pre-Festival purchases, are welcomed into ‘alchemy handmade’ [305 North St, Pittsfield], each Saturday from 12 to 4pm in November as well as by appointment.
